San Bernardino, CA. February 9, 2023 — Power Speaks Louder announces the reception of a $10,000 grant from Pacific Western Bank in partnership with the Nehemiah Charitable Fund. This grant is a testament to the organization's successful completion of the transformative Capacity Building Initiative for Communities of Color (CBICC) Project.
In alignment with the spirit of Black History Month, the Nehemiah Charitable Fund hosted a celebratory recognition and luncheon event at the Loma Linda University Health | San Manuel Gateway College to honor the inaugural class of CBICC participants. The CBICC project delivers capacity-building training, technical support, and vital funding to Black-led organizations through a comprehensive approach. This initiative equips organizations to overcome challenges and optimize their ability to deliver impactful services to their communities.
Founder/CEO B. Hunter of Power Speaks Louder emerged from the CBICC Cohort Training Series equipped with heightened organizational skills and strategies for community upliftment. This accomplishment led to a $10,000 grant from Pacific Western Bank, an esteemed program sponsor. Reflecting on the significance of the CBICC project, B. Hunter shared, "The CBICC Training Series has been an invaluable journey that has equipped us with the operational tools to make a lasting impact in our community. We are honored to be recognized and supported in our mission to create positive change."
