Moreno Valley, CA. September 7, 2023 — Power Speaks Louder (PSL) is excited to announce its selection as a recipient of the esteemed Creative Corps Grant, a $90,000 award presented by Creative Corps Inland SoCal in partnership with the Inland Empire Community Foundation (IECF), Arts Connection – The Arts Council of San Bernardino County, Riverside Arts Council, and the California Desert Arts Council. The grant will empower PSL to use the medium of film to narrate the profound impact of their Community Outreach programs, showcasing the compassion that emerged from the challenges of COVID-19.

The Creative Corps Grant unveiled on July 5, 2023, awards more than $3.8 million to 53 individuals, organizations, and agencies dedicated to fostering creativity and addressing critical societal issues, including public health, the environment, social justice, and civic participation. The grant-supported projects will serve communities ranking lowest on the California Healthy Places Index (HPI), ensuring a targeted and meaningful impact.

"We are honored to receive the Creative Corps Grant," said B. Hunter, Founder/CEO of Power Speaks Louder. "This $90,000 award will amplify the voices of our community members and enable us to bring their inspiring stories to life through the art of film while also contributing to the revitalization of artists' involvement in the creative arts."

Power Speaks Louder plans to leverage the grant to produce a captivating community impact documentary, illuminating the unique stories of the individuals they serve, highlighting available resources, and celebrating the resilience of the communities they work with. Through the art of film, PSL aims to inspire and unite audiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs faced by their community.
